２．鍵盤楽器の古典調律法入門とチャート
ロンドンの大学で教えているデヴィッド・ロー氏による古楽器調律入門です。はじめての方でも音叉一本で調律できるように実践的な解説になっています。 下記４種の音律のためのジョン・スパイス氏によるチャートが付随しています。

従来は特注弦は御注文いただくその都度発注していましたが、下記のように毎月まとめて発注するように変更したいと思いますので、ご報告申し上げます

＜背景＞ここのところ、ＴＯＲＯ弦の入荷までに時間がかかり、毎月の定期的な補充が遅れ気味になっていました。ＴＯＲＯさんに状況を確認したところ「特注弦の注文が頻繁に入るので、その都度それを作っていて遅れてしまう」とのことでした
この遅れのために、定期分がいつ入荷するかわからないという状況が続いていました。これを解消するために、下記４の手順を変更いたします

4. 弊社-->ＴＯＲＯ　その都度発注
   
5. ＴＯＲＯ→弊社　製作、発送（定期発注分に同梱）
   

皆様から個別に御注文をいただく都度ＴＯＲＯ社に発注。定期の在庫補充用の発注分にいっしょに梱包して発送するようにしていました。（特注分に個別の運送コストを上乗せしないため）
ＴＯＲＯ社には定期発注分は特注分をまたずに発送していいから、と言ってあったのですが、まじめなＴＯＲＯ兄弟、お客様の御注文はお待たせしないように、その前の仕上がった弦の発送も、新規のご注文が仕上がるまで止めてくれていたのでしょう

【今後の手順】
上記の事情から、今後は個別にいただいた特注の御注文は、弊社で月単位でまとめて発注するようにしたいと思いますのでご了承ください。（毎月の月末締め）

メロス社では以下のように説明しています メロスの「ライト」タイプは春や夏などの高温の環境で、よりスムースな演奏のためや、室内楽でのソロに使われます。「ダーク」タイプは秋冬などの低音環境であったり、オーケストラや大コンサートでのソロなどで使われます。また、それは演目によっても違ってきます
The "light" type is used more in high temperatures (spring or summer), for "smooth" playing or for solo in chamber music. The "dark" type is used more in low temperatures (autumn or winter), for full-tone playing, in an orchestra, or for solo great concerts. It depends also on the art of the musicians playing.

メロス社では、このダークとライトに加えて、ダークよりもさらに粘度の高い「バロック（ガット弦用）」仕様を開発していたのです
したがって、メロスの松脂は下記の種類があります

さらに複雑なことに、サイズの違いでレギュラーとミニがありますがバロック用（及びヴィオラ用）としてはレギュラーサイズしか作られていません。レギュラーは３０ｇ、ミニは２０ｇで、日本国内の価格設定からすると明らかにミニがお買い得なのです(^_^;)

My favourite rosin is the Melos dark. Here in Finland, where the weather conditions are often dry in winter time, the softer rosin makes the bow bite nicely into the string and gives a clear, solid attack for the sound. Also the legatos are easy: the bow produces a brilliant sound on its own.
